Through the Eyes of Employees
Being a Member of Arçelik-LG through the Eyes of Employees

Emre Petek – Quality Assurance Specialist
I graduated from YTU Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2015. I started working at Arçelik-LG as a Production Engineer in 2018. With the value it places on the development of young people, Arçelik-LG offers many new career opportunities within the company, allowing employees to discover areas where they will be happier and more successful. In this context, I continue my career as a Quality Assurance Specialist as a result of my rotation at the end of 2021. While contributing to the Quality department with my production experience, I continue to develop my career by adding a new perspective to my engineering understanding. Since Arçelik-LG Air Conditioner is the sector leader in Europe in terms of production capacity, it constantly follows new technologies and carries out innovative projects. Since it is a Korean-partnership company, it offers the opportunity to work with different cultures and adds a more visionary perspective to young employees. I am happy to work in this company where two different cultures are a family under a single roof.

Zeynep Karaca Bektaş – Sales Planning and Logistics Specialist
I graduated from ITU Department of Industrial Engineering in 2017. Since 2019, I have been working as a Sales Planning Engineer under the Supply Chain Directorate at the Arçelik-LG Air Conditioner factory. Working with Koç Group, one of the best employers in Turkey, and LG Electronics, one of the world's electronics giants, and getting to know these two important structures closely contribute to my personal and professional development. On the other hand, working in a factory with a scale where you can recognise the entire organisation, despite being under the umbrella of Arçelik and LG brands, provides experience in developing an analytical perspective and looking at the system holistically. In this way, we can get to know the world outside of our responsibility and observe the outputs of our work and its effects on other disciplines.

Ozan Karaman – Production and Material Planning Manager
I graduated from Kocaeli University Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2014. I have been working as a Production Planning Engineer in the Production Planning department of Arçelik-LG since 2017. As of 2022, I am working as Production and Material Planning Manager under the same department. Our company provides full support to the personal and professional development of employees through both external and internal trainings. For example, 6 Sigma training is provided within the company and this training is locked in through the projects. At Arçelik-LG, you have the opportunity to get closely acquainted with both Arçelik and LG working cultures, which enables you to constantly improve yourself in areas such as crisis management and decision-making skills. In addition, with internal rotations, employees are supported to develop themselves not only in one department, but also in other departments they want.

Merve Aslan – Human Resources Specialist
I graduated from YTU Department of Industrial Engineering in 2017. Since February 2018, I continue to work as a Senior Human Resources Specialist under the Department of Talent Management and compensation. I had the opportunity to experience different positions under the Human Resources Department. Thanks to the versatile working opportunities offered by Arçelik-LG and the information exchanges we frequently make on human resources processes within the Koç Group, I had the chance to develop myself in the department I am in. My company and managers have always supported me to experience different areas and improve myself in these areas. In this process, I had the opportunity to take a different approach to the processes as a reflection of the culture of 2 large companies that are pioneers and leaders in their fields. Thanks to teamwork, which is a part of the corporate culture, you have the opportunity to work in an integrated and agile manner with many departments. I feel happy and proud to be in this warm family as part of my career journey.

Yeşim Naz Yıldırım – Future Challengers Project Engineer
I am a student at Sabancı University Department of Industrial Engineering. I met Arçelik-LG for the first time in July 2021. First, I did an internship in the Human Resources Department for 2 months. My internship at the Human Resources Department was a very productive process in terms of getting to know the company culture and following the company structure and processes. In this process, I saw that everyone I worked with tried to teach me and that every job I did was valuable. I had the chance to apply what I learnt at university on site. In October 2021, I started the Future Challengers process. I also took part in various improvement projects with different departments in the Human Resources processes. These processes enabled me to develop myself and choose the field I want to work in. Arçelik-LG supported me to gain experience in this field. As of February, I continue to work in Production Engineering and Digital Systems Department as a Project Engineer. In this company, which was established with the partnership of two large groups, I can closely follow the processes that progress with the integration of different cultures. I believe that my approach and perspective are developing more and more every day. I feel happy and lucky to be a part of the Arçelik-LG family at the early stage of my career journey.

Reha Aydar – Quality Systems and Planning Specialist
After graduating from YTU Department of Mechanical Engineering in 2015, I completed my master's degree in Department of Heat-Process. My Arçelik-LG adventure started in 2018 as a Production Planning Engineer. I continue my career as a Quality Systems and Planning Senior Specialist as a result of the rotation in 2021. One of the most important opportunities provided by our company is the chance to gain experience in the departments where the employees want to improve themselves. In this way, we can look at events from a holistic perspective by observing the dynamics of different departments. Since Arçelik-LG is a corporate company established with Turkish-Korean partnership, employees can have a very broad vision by gaining different perspectives with the experience of working in an international company. Existing processes can also be improved with 6 Sigma projects that can be realised in our company, where teamwork is always at the forefront. In this way, experience can be gained in project management, team management and process management. I consider Arçelik-LG as a school where I could always learn new things and add value by constantly improving myself. In this direction, I will always continue to work hard. I hope that one day our paths will cross with you, my dear young friends, and we will conduct many important projects together.
